Obituary

Ellis E. White of 408 Grant St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Dec.11,1987,at 4:10 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital.  He was 81. Mr. Ellis was born Dec.28,1905,in Washington Township,Fayette County,a son of the late Alonzo and Annie Roley White.  He was a member of the dartball team of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Venon. A liflong resident of the Belle Vernon area,he retired in 1973 frpm the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Monessen plant. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde,Charles and Frederick White;and by one sister, Sara Gersky. Survivors include his wife,Doris Milsl White;three sons,H.Ellis White of Charleroi,Robert J. White of Seattle,Wash.,and Thomas A. White of West Newton;three daughters, Mrs. Martin (Elma) Martinosky,Mrs. Howard (Nancy) Hill and Doris,wife of Rev. Kenneth Kinik,all of Belle Vernon;15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Monday,Dec.14,at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Thomas St. Clair,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,and Rev. Kenneth Kinik,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
