A telephone message was received by officials of the Pittsburgh Steel Compnay in Monessen on Friday,August 24,1917,announcing the death of Mrs. Willim J.Huston at Beaver at 9:20 o'clock Friday morning from appendicitis. Mrs. Huston was Miss Nellie McMahan of Monessen and was married to Lieut.Huston on Wednesday evening,July 18. She went with Lieut. Huston to Beaver,where he had been ordered to report as First Lieutenant in the machine gun company of the Tenth regiment. Recently Lieut. Huston was ordered to report for duty with the machine gun battalion of the Rainbow Division which is soon to leave for France.
