Obituary

Ella O. Searles of 853 Meldon Ave.,Donora,died Thursday,July 2,1987,at 6:50 p.m. in Westmoreland Hospital,Greensburg.  She was 71. Mrs. Searles was born April 10,1916,in Donora,a daughter of the late George B. Oxley Jr.and Elsie Simonson Oxley. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church,Donora,where she had been a former organist and choir member for many years.  She was also a member of the LCW.  In addition to her parents whe was preceded in death by a sisiter,Mrs. John (Phyllis) Beisel.  Survivors include her husband,Howard W. Searles;one son, William H. Searles of Indianapolis, Ind.;three daughters, Mrs. Matthew (Marie) Stefanick of Belle Vernon,Ann Milligan of McDonald and Mrs. Richard (Sharon) Raynor of New Castle;four sisters, Mrs. William (Margaret) Stoneman of Belle Vernon R.D.2,Mrs. Raymond (Elsie) Pech of Donora,Mrs. Charles (Ruth) Palmer of Rockledge,Fla.,and Mrs. William (Elaine) Bergman of Belle Vernon R.D.3;10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the James A. Rabe Funeral Home,701 Thompson Ave.,Donora,where a Prayer service will be held Monday,July 6,at 10:30 a.m.,followed by funeral servcies at 11 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church,Donora,with the Rev. Charles Barber officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.  The James A. Rabe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
