Elizabeth Anthony Brightwell,81,of Westmoreland Manor,formerly of Belle Vernon,died Monday, April 23,1990,at 8:15 a.m. at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born Nov. 30,1908,in Shippensburg,a daughter of the late John and Nannie Newroth Anthony. Mrs. Brightwell was a Protestant by faith. As a youngster she had lived in the Charleroi area. She had resided in Belle Vernon for more than 50 years. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Dick Brightwell on May 18,1981; a daughter, Donna Krett in 1972;two brothers,Edgar and Harry Anthony and a sister, Ida Sloboda. She is survived by a son, Richard "Tony" Brightwell of Rostraver Township; a brother, John Anthony of Charlotte,N.C.,and five grandchildren, Jennifer and Mark Brightwell and Jeffrey, Joel and Jody Krett. Friends will be received at the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Jack E. Elder,pastor of the Fayette City United Methodist Church,officiatig. Intement will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
