Elizabeth Rekrut,73,of Monessen, formerly of Keisterville,Pa.,died Tuesday, July 19,1988,at 11:59 a.m. in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh,following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Rekrut was born July 9,1915,in Everson, Pa., a daughter of the late Matthew and Helen McGurgen Earnestie. She was a member of St. Hyacinth Roman Catholic Church,Monessen. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rekrut was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew J. Rekrut,who died in 1980;two sisters, Dorothy Lewis and Evelyn Taylor and one brother, Harry Earnestie. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Patricia) Grunwald of Monesssen and Mrs. William (Betty) Onesko of Glendora, Calif.; two grandchildren, William Onesko Jr. and Sharan Fraijo,both of Glendora, Calif.; one great-granddaughter, Christina Leanna Fraijo and five sisters, Mrs. Walter (Margaurite) Moore of Scottdale,Pa.,Mrs. John (Geraldine) Wells of El Cajon, Calif.,Mrs. Richard (Anna Mae) Rush of Connellsville, Pa.,Mrs. Norman (Theresa) Hammond of Accokeek,Md., and Mrs. Don (Alice) Nicklow of Lake Side, Calif. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until 9:30 a.m. Saturday,the hour of a Prayer Service in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be recited at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Hyacinth Roman Catholic Church,Monessen, with the Rev. Stanley W. Jaslonek,pastor, as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
