Elizabeth Reese of 1115 Hill St.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,April 7,1983 at 5:20 a.m.in the Jefferson Center Hospital. She was 92. Mrs.Reese was born Oct.24,1890,in Rostraver Twp.,a daughter of the late Harry and Cora Acton Smith. A member of St.Paul's Lutheran Church of Monessen,she had been a resident of the Belle Vernon area since 1957. In addition to her parents Mrs.Reese was preceded in death by a daughter,Mary Ellen Stimaker;a brother,William T.Smith;and a sister,Della Mae Munro. Survivors include one daughter,Mrs.Virginia Fagan,with whom she made her home;seven grandchildren;14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday,April 9,at 11 a.m.in St.Paul's Lutheran Church,Monessen,with the Rev.Charles Barber,pastor of St.Luke's Lutheran Church,Monessen,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
