Elizabeth R. Betty Grimm Muryn; 77; of Belle Vernon (Washington Township); died Friday; June 16; 2006; at 4:31 a.m.; at Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born July 21; 1928; in Dunbar; she was the daughter of the late Charles and Dora Paul Grimm. Growing up in Everson; Scottdale area; Mrs. Muryn was a resident of Washington Township for the past 41 years; and member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church; Belle Vernon. Her employment included working as a telephone operator for Coca-Cola; Shadyside; was a model for Wheeler Modeling Agency; graduated from PBA with a beauty culture license; worked as a real estate agent for Howard Hanna; Drake Real Estate and Century 21; and was the office manager for Muryn Construction Co. In 1953; she won the title of Miss Golden Triangle. She is survived by her husband; Nick Muryn; to whom she was married 51 years; son and daughter-in-law; Marc and Karen Muryn; of Eighty Four; and daughter and son-in-law; Karen and Randy Brown; of Belle Vernon.
