Elizabeth Murt Canigiani; 94; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); entered into eternal rest on Monday; May 17; 2004; in Monongahela Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was born Dec. 30; 1909; in Fairhope; Washington Township; Fayette County; a daughter of the late John and Gertrude McDonough Murt. Mrs. Canigiani was the last surviving member of her family and was preceded in death by four brothers; Thomas; Mark; John; and Joseph Jodie Murt; and two sisters; Theresa Tolan and Margaret Park. She is survived by her husband of 67 years; Dominick Canigiani; whom she married June 20; 1936; three sons and daughters-in-law; James and Betty Canigiani of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); Mark and Christine Canigiani of Dunlevy; and Thomas and Patricia Canigiani of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood); seven grandchildren James; Daniel; Jennifer; Jeanne; Thomas; Nicole; and Adam Canigiani; and four great-grandchildren; Haley; Sebastian; Rachel and Heather Canigiani. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.; Wednesday from noon to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 10 a.m.; when a blessing service will be held in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City.
