Elizabeth Jane Sethman;111 Elks Place;Belle Vernon;died Friday;Oct.20;1978;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. She was 83. Born in Ford City;May 2;1895;she was the daughter of the late Adam and Hannah Renolds Turnbull. She had been a resident of the Belle Vernon area for the last 52 years. Mrs.Sethman was a member of St.Mary’s Episcopal Church;Charleroi. She was preceded in death by her husband;Harry Sethman on March 6;1975. Mrs.Sethman is survived by three sons;Richard and Harry Sethman Jr.;both of Belle Vernon;and Howard Sethman of Downey; Calif.;seven daughters;Mrs.John (Margaret) Carr;Mrs.William (Ethel) Venneri;Mrs.Mark;(Hannah) Bennett;and Mrs.Thomas (Norma Jean) Seibert;all of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Florence Weaver with whom she made her home;Mrs.Dorothy Rainey of Denbo;and Mrs.George (Martha) Warner of Springfield;Ohio;two brothers;Norman Turnbull of Greenville and John Turnbull of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Martha Metz and Mrs.Margaret Roberts;35 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m.Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m.Sunday. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m.;with the Rev.George E.Warner;Mrs.Sethman’s son-in-law;of the Reorganized Church of the Latter Day Saints;Springfield;Ohio;officiating.
