Elizabeth (Betty) Jones; 86;
formerly of the Belle Vernon Apartments; died Thursday; Nov. 12;1987;
at 3:30 p. m. in the Masonic Home;
Elizabethtown.
She was born July 17; 1901; in
Twilight; a daughter of the late
Robert and Katheryn Dunseth
Haywood.
She was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church; Belle Vernon.
She was a former club manager at
Pleasant Valley Country Club; Connellsville; the Uniontown Country
Club and the Lakeview Country Club
in West Virginia. She has been a
resident of the Masonic Home since
January; 1984.
In addition to her parents; she was
preceded in death by her husband;James Jones; in 1954.
Survivors include one son; James
W. Thompson of Belle Vernon; three
sisters; Mildred Forte of Ellsworth;
Martha Ventrini of Uniontown and
Betty Hawk of Connellsville; four
grandchildren; Larry; Jeffrey;
Jamie Thompson and Vicki Davis;
and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Shelby D. Ferguson Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.Charles LaPlaca;pastor;First Presbyterian Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director.
