Obituary

Elizabeth Betty Yetsconish, 82, died Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at home. She was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Fayette City, a daughter of the late Charles and Helen Benyak Yetsconish. She was retired from the payroll department at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co., Allenport Plant. She was a charter member of USWA Local 3406 and first financial secretary. Betty was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon. Survivors include three sisters, Ellen Blasko and husband Bob of Charleroi, Mary Brirley of Charleroi and Anne Stancoven and husband Rudy of Belle Vernon, one brother, Charles Yetsconish and wife Mary Jo of Fayette City, one nephew, Charles J. Yetsconish and wife Tina of Fayette City, and her very close friends, Princess and Girl. Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City. Family and friends are to gather in Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon, on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 1 p.m. for funeral services with the Rev. Fr. John Kluchko officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas service will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
