Obituary

Elizabeth (Betty) Sabol Szymansky of 616 Henry St.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,March 23,1982,at 3:35 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. She was 62. Mrs.Szymansky was born Jan.16,1920,in Monessen,a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Paluv Sabol. A resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past 30 years,she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon,where she served as elder and as a Sunday School teacher. Mrs.Szymansky also was a member of the H.O.A.class and the Women's Association of the church and the Golden Agers of Belle Vernon. She was preceded in death by two sisters,Katherine Ostrzycki and Margaret Gutierrez. Survivors include her widower,Quentin Szymansky,one son,Quentin Robert Szymansky of Wilkinsburg,one daughter,Mrs.Jan (Kathleen Nadine) Marchewka of North Huntingdon. She also is survived by one brother,John Sabol of Monessen,six sisters,Mrs.Bruno (Mary) Lori of Belle Vernon,Mrs.Osmo (Helen) Larmi of Monessen,Mrs.Joseph (Susan) Hydo of Brownsville,Mrs.Al (Mildred) Samuels of Lodi,N.J.,Mrs.Sherman (Theresa) Koons of Webster and Mrs.Raymond (Irene) Baker of West Newton,two grandsons,Jonathon and Brian Marchewka,and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m.,with the Rev.Charles D.LaPlaca,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
