Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Catani, 79, of Belle Vernon, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, in Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. She was born Oct. 12, 1926, in Monessen and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Johanna Swersbin Guzensky. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon for 55 years. She is survived by her husband, Albert Catani; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Raymond D. Catani, of Belle Vernon, and Kenneth P. and Joan M. Catani, of Meadville; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Helen Guzensky, of Monessen; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Genevieve Panepinto and Jean Plucinski; and a brother, Edward Guzensky. There is no visitation. Service and burial are private. Arrangements are being handled by the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston (Elizabeth Township).
