Elizabeth Alice Wells,85,of 715 Fayette Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,April 23,1971,at 2 p.m.in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. A resident of the Belle Vernon area since 1900,she owned a confectionery store in Belle Vernon for 30 years. She was born in Wilson,Pa.,July 12,1885. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon. Surviving are one son,Joseph S.Wells of Belle Vernon;one sister,Mrs.Margaret Holzhauser of Pinellas Park,Fla.;two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received after 7 p.m.Saturday at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Monday,April 26,at 1:30 p.m.with the Rev.John Bowers of the First Christian Church,Belle Vernon,and the Rev.Charles Colas of the First Baptist Church,Belle Vernon,officiating.
