Mrs. Eliza A. Smith,age 79 years,of 501 Seventh street, Charleroi,died at her home, Tuesday, April 6,1948,at 7 a.m. She was born in Stewartdraft, Virginia, April 2,1869,and came from there to Charleroi in 1900. She was a member of St.James A.M.E. Church of Charleroi. The widow of the late Rev. John S. Smith,at one time pastor of St. James Church here,she is survived only by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Friends will be received at the late home. Services will be held at St. James A.M.E. Church, Friday, April 9,1948,at 2 p.m.,in charge of Rev. Eugene Sheffield. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Lawrence B. Frye is the funeral director.
