Elinor A. Petrus of 304 W. 12th St.,Donora,died Friday,March 13,1981 at 11:45 p.m. in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. Mrs. Petrus was born Aug.13,1914,in Monessen,a daughter of the late Hugh M. and Celestia McKenna Fleming. A resident of Donora the past 31 years,she was a retired school teacher having taught in Monessen Transfiguration School in Monongahela and the Ringgold School District. Mrs. Petrus was a member of St. Charles Church of Donora,Pennsylvania State Education Association and the National Retired Teachers Association. Survivors include her widower,Thomas E. Petrus,two sons, Thomas G. Petrus of Chicago,Ill,and James A. Petrus of Mars,Pa.;three daughters, Mrs. John (Celesta) Harhai of Neshanic Station,NJ,Mrs. John (Claudia) Moody of Fraziers Bottom,W.Va.,and Miss Carol Petrus of Dormont,one brother,H. Robert Fleming of Columbia,Pa.,one sister,Mrs. Jessie Stone of Oil City,Pa.,and three grandchildren. Friends will be received in the James A. Rabe Funeral Home,701 Thompson Ave.,Donora,from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A Prayer service will be conducted in the funeral home Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed at 11 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Church,Donora. The Rev. Albert Koser will be the celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rosay will be recited in the funeral home Sunday at 8 p.m. The James A. Rabe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
