Eleanor June Boyce, 95, of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at 3:35 p.m. at Thorpe's New Dawn Personal Care Home, North Charleroi. Born May 7, 1919, in Belle Vernon, she was the daughter of the late Fred T. and Grace Bickerton Boyce. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Boyce was a member of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, Rostraver Twp., sang in the church choir and was an avid singer with the Golden Agers Showboat Group. She was a retired seamstress in the laundry department at Mon Valley Hospital. She was also employed at the former Glass House in Belle Vernon, Model Cleaners and was an attendant at the former Ray's Service Center of North Belle Vernon. She is survived by a nephew, David R. Swearer and wife, Christine of East Millsboro; a great-nephew, Joshua Swearer and wife, Amanda, of Belle Vernon; a great-great-nephew, Riley Swearer; and two cousins, Dorothy Sutch of Clover Hill and Dale Winnett of Fredericktown. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marian Swearer and a brother-in-law, Raymond Swearer. Visitation will be held Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183, followed by funeral services at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Richard C. Klein Jr. of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Eleanor June Boyce to Rehoboth Presbyterian Church.
