Eleanor B. White, 76, of Fayette City, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 13, 1938, in Fayette City, daughter of the late Millard Book and the late Virginia Owens Book. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon and a member of the Friends of Veterans. She is survived by six children; daughter, Cathy McGavitt and husband James Sr., of Fayette City; son, Edward White Jr. of Nevada; son, Millard White and wife, Pam, of Belle Vernon; son, Jeffery White of Charleroi; son, David White and wife, Sue, of Charleroi; son, Timothy White, of Fayette City; two sisters, Mildred Cowger, of Ohio, and sister, Tammy Littleton of LaFayette, Ind.; sister-in-law, Margaret Book of Fayette City; grandsons, James McGavitt Jr., William McGavitt and David Ray White; granddaughters, Melanie White and Jessia White and great-grandson, Hunter James McGavitt. She was preceded in death by parents; husband Edward L. White Sr. and brother Charles Book. Friends will be received Thursday, August 13, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA.724-326-5621,www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Donald Bowers officiating. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA.
