Eldridge C. (Dice) Smock, Clarks Mills R D l (formerly of Belle Vernon), died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 1986, in White Cliff Nursing Home, Greenville. Pa. He was 79. Mr. Smock was born in Belle Vernon on Jan. 16,1908, a son of the late Jacob and Jennie Smock Smock. He had resided in Belle Vernon most of his life and was Protestant by faith. He was a retired self-employed construction worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kachmarik Smock, Dec. 3,1982. Survivors include two brothers, Marion Smock of Phoenix, Ariz., and Robert Smock of Toledo, Ohio; a sister, Mrs Ed (Hazel) Kurth of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Leonard J Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave , Belle Vernon, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 To 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Friday at 1 p.m.with Pastor Timothy Witt,interim pastor of Rehoboth United Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
