Eldred A.Welch of 125 Brown street;Belle Vernon;died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital on Friday;November 29;1957;at 10 p.m. He was a veteran of World War One;serving with the Army Engineers;and was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He was employed by the Pittsburgh Steel company as foreman of the Billet Department of the Allenport plant. He is survived by his wife;Kathryn Welch;one son;Frank at home;two daughters;Mrs.George (Travella) Roosz of Columbus;Ohio and Miss Mary D.Welch at home;his mother;Mrs.Frank Welch of Charleroi;one brother;Harry F.Welch of Mt.Lebanon;one sister;Mrs.Gordon (Mary) Harrington of Scenery Hill and two grandsons. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home beginning Sunday at 1 p.m. Visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Tuesday;December 3;1957;at 2 p.m.in charge of Rev.George L.Kress of Gibsonia;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
