Edwin B.(Tubby) Lambert;500 Greene St.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly Tuesday;April 15;1986;at 3:30 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 77. Mr.Lambert was born in Fairhope on Feb.26;1909;a son of the late Charles F.and Sarah Breakwell Lambert. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon and was a life member of the Belle Vernon Fire Co.No.2;where he served as captain of the fire police. Mr.Lambert retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;Allenport plant;in 1971;where he was employed in the pipe division. He was Protestant by faith. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by three brothers;C.Gordon;Chester A.and Harold B. Survivors include his wife;Nellie Plance Lambert;a daughter;Mrs.Jack (Sally Ann) Emery of New Eagle;a grandson;John Edwin Garber of Pittsburgh;a granddaughter-in-law;Cheryl C.Garber of Pittsburgh;and two sisters;Mrs.Jessie Flanigan of Aliquippa and Mrs.David (Mary Jane) Scholl of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday;11 a.m.;at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon Fire Co.No.2 services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. The family suggests that contributions be made to either the Community Ambulance Service or Belle Vernon Fire Co.No.2 in Edwin B.Lambert’s memory. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
