Edwin B.(Tubby) Lambert;500 Greene St.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly Tuesday;April 15;1986;at 3:30 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 77. Mr.Lambert was born in Fairhope on Feb.26;1909;a son of the late Charles F.and Sarah Breakwell Lambert. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon and was a life member of the Belle Vernon Fire Co.No.2;where he served as captain of the fire police. Mr.Lambert retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;Allenport plant;in 1971;where he was employed in the pipe division. He was Protestant by faith. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by three brothers;C.Gordon;Chester A.and Harold B. Survivors include his wife;Nellie Plance Lambert;a daughter;Mrs.Jack (Sally Ann) Emery of New Eagle;a grandson;John Edwin Garber of Pittsburgh;a granddaughter-in-law;Cheryl C.Garber of Pittsburgh;and two sisters;Mrs.Jessie Flanigan of Aliquippa and Mrs.David (Mary Jane) Scholl of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday;11 a.m.;at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon Fire Co.No.2 services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. The family suggests that contributions be made to either the Community Ambulance Service or Belle Vernon Fire Co.No.2 in Edwin B.Lambert’s memory.
