Obituary

Edward Moore Burrows Sr.of 320 Roley St.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly Saturday,Jan.6,1996,at 9:14 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh,a son of the late James and Baldwina Costello Burrows. He was a lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. He retired in 1978 as a scarfer at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.Allenport Plant. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife of 47 years,Lois Schoenholtz Burrows,two sons,Edward M.Burrows Jr.of Springfield,Va,.,and David Burrows of Arlington,Va.,one daughter,Mrs.Raymond (Lois) Thompson of Belle Vernon,three grandchildren,Leigh Ann Thompson,Mark Jacob Thompson and Kristine Sheppler,one great-grandson,Kristian Sheppler,one sister-in-law,Madeline Burrows,one nephew,James Edward Burrows,and one niece,Dorothy Sterdis. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by four brothers,James Jr.,Walter,Clarence,and Howard Burrows. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Funeral Mass in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon,at 10 a.m.with Rev.John Cindric,pastor,as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
