Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,July 17,1971 for Edward L. Dudgeon, 78,of 320 Henry St.,Belle Vernon,who died at 5:55 a.m. Thursday, July 15,1971 in Montifiore Hospital,Pittsburgh,following a lingering illness. Born Feb. 24,1893,in Pricedale,he was the son of the late Alexander and Mary Lee Dudgeon. Mr. Dudgeon retired in 1958 as an employee of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-PIttsburgh Steel Corp. He was a veteran of World War I. Suriving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Jean) Hess,of Akron,Ohio annd Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Schilling,of Belle Vernon R.D.2, five sisters, Mrs. Florence Dunmire of Perryopolis,Mrs. Agnes Wright of Sringfield,Ohio,Mrs. Lulu Rainey of Smithon,Mrs. Elsie Kuhn of Belle Vernon R.D.2,and Mrs. Jean Pastorik of Monessen,two brothers, Theodore Dudgeon of Belle Vernon R.D.2 and Roy Dudgeon of Pricedale. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Belle Vernon Public Library. Friends are being received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.
