Funeral services were held today;Monday August 23;1965;in Westfield;N.J.for Edward L.Hewitt;55;of Westfield;N.J. Mr.Hewitt who was born in Belle Vernon;died Thursday;August 19;1965 in Westfield. A veteran of World War II;Mr.Hewitt was territory manager of the Quaker Oats Co. He was a member of the Scotch Plains Church of Christ. Son of the late Thomas A.and Elsie A.Lenhart Hewitt;he was born June 5;1910;in Belle Vernon. Survivors include his widow;Dorothy Deckler Hewitt;a daughter;Shirley A.Hewitt;a son;Thomas D.;both at home;and a sister;Mrs.Elsie I.Cole of West Mifflin.
