Mr.Hoffman was employed by Monessen Southwestern Railroad. He was a member of St.Sebastian’s R.C.Church and American Legion Post 659;both of Belle Vernon;Veterans of Foreign Wars and Loyal Order of Moose;both of Charleroi and East Belle Vernon Athletic Association. Born in Belle Vernon on Feb.5;1924;he was the son of Joseph J.and Mary (Kekely) Hoffman. Mr.Hoffman was a veteran of World War II. Surviving besides his parents;who live in Belle Vernon;are three brothers;Joseph B.Hoffman of Belle Vernon;James V.Hoffman of Lynnwood;and 1st Lt.Paul Hoffman at Savannah Army Depot in Illinois;two sisters;Mrs.Patricia Zidek of Coal Center and Mrs.Betty Tonkavich of Hossier City;La. Friends are being received at the Shleby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;where a service will take place Wednesday;May 18;at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Requiem High Mass at St.Sebastian’s R.C.Church at 10 a.m. The Rev.Martin J.O’Toole;pastor;will officiate.
