Edward James DeRose; 49; of Johnston Street; Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; Feb. 26; 2003; in his home. He was born in North Charleroi on July 30; 1953; a son of Gloria Appolline Jacobs; who survives and resides in Monessen; and the late Edward G. DeRose. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon; the Belle Vernon Moose Lodge 209; the American Legion; the Russian Club; and Pennsylvania Chapter 18 of the National Association of Power Engineers. Mr. DeRose had been employed as a boiler fireman for Mon Valley Hospital for the past five years. Survivors; in addition to his mother; include one daughter; Deanna Taylor DeRose of Donora; a special friend; Sue; one sister and brother-in-law; Melaine and Bob Elbaum; three nephews; Richard; Auguste and Gabriel; four aunts; Roseanna Jurcevich of Belle Vernon; Stella Krlin of Pittsburgh; Geraldine McCune of Ocala; Fla.; and Sara Povirk of West Newton; and several cousins.
