Obituary

Edward F. Fall,72,of Belle Vernon R.D.5,died Monday,Oct. 31,1994,at 5:35 p.m. in Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born May 21,1922 in Monessen,a son of the late Michael and Bertha Fal.  Mr. Fall was a former Monessen resident. He was Christian by faith.  He had retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel,where he was employed as a metalurgist,having retired Feb. 1,1984. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S. Army during the Normandy invasion.  He also served in combat in France,Germany and the Ardennes in Central Europe.  He was decorated with five bronze stars. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Denitti Fall;a son, Frank Steck of Perryopolis;five daughters, Mrs. Jack (Sandra) Danilchak and Ms. Donna Thorpe,both of Monessen,Mrs. Edwin (Paula) Fink of Pittsburgh,Michelle Fall of San Diego.,Calif.and Susan Fall of Monessen;a brother, Fred Fal of Monessen;nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a sister, Francis Saboleck on Oct. 20,1994.  Friends will be received in the Stephen D. Yoney Jr. Funeral Home,First St. and Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen,Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth M. Lashen, pastor of Bridgeport United Methodist Church,officiating.  The Stephen D.Yoney Jr. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
