Edward L.Bergstedt of 806 Cardiff Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Oct.24;1976 at 7:42 p.m.in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh;a son of Agnes Bergstedt LeClair who survives;and the late William Bergstedt. Mr.Bergstedt came to Belle Vernon 29 years ago and was a retired electrician from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.Monessen plant. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the Army. Survivors in addition to his mother;include his widow;Josephine Knox;two step-sons;Jacob G.Hixon of Baltimore;Md.;Vernon Jr.Hixon of New York City;N.Y.;a daughter;Dianna Rizzutto of Millersville;Md.;four brothers;William Bergstedt of Lynnwood;David Bergstedt of Monessen;Raymond Bergstedt of Charleroi;Russell Bergstedt of Charleroi;11 grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Services under the direction of St.Sebastian Church;Belle Vernon;will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
