Obituary

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning Feb.5,1942,for Edward Baron,29,of Fairhope,who died Sunday morning Feb.1,1942,in Charleroi-Monessen hospital of injuries suffered when he was caught in a slate fall at the Naomi mine of the Hillman Coal and Coke company. Mr.Baron,for several years,a star soccer player in the river league,is to be interred following Mass at 9 a.m.Thursday at St.Edward's R.C.Church,Fayette city,Rev.John P.Sedlak in charge,with burial in charge of John L.Bake in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Surviving him are his wife,Mrs.Catherine Baron and one son,Edward Jr.,at home,his parents,Mr.and Mrs.John Baron,two sisters,Mrs.David Igoe and Rose Baron,and two brothers,John and Rudolph Baron,all of Fairhope,and a brother,Adolph Baron,stationed at Ft.Wayne,Indiana with the Air Corps.John L.Bake,funeral director in charge.
