died Sunday; Feb. 17;1980.
He was born in Arnold City
on Aug. 31;1911; a son of the
late Elijah and Prudence
(Hartland) Gauden.
He was a Presbyterian by
faith and was a former resident of Fairhope and Belle
Vermon.
He retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in 1974.
He is survived by his widow;
Marion (Palfrey) Gauden;
one son; Edwara D. Gauden;
and one daughter; Mrs. John
(Shirley) Melvin; both of Pensacola; Fla.; one brother;
William Gauden of
Oklamlulgee; Okl.; three
sisters; Mrs. Honor Sotta of
Belle Vernon; Mrs. Anna May
Melvin of Belle Vernon; and
Mrs. Emma Lucas of East
Detroit; Mich.; and three
grandchildren.

Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral
Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday.
Services will be held at 1
p.m. Thursday at the funeral
home; with the Rev. Fred
Gnatuk of First Presbyterian
Church officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
