Obituary

Edward Andrew Cmar,68,of 213 Rear Crest Ave.,Charleroi died Friday,May 15,1992, at 8:45 a.m. at his home. He was born Jan.28,1924 in Monessen,a son of the late Anthony and Helen Chornak Cmar. Mr.Cmar had resided in Charleroi for the past 35 years. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel,Monessen Plant,where he was employed in the Electric Shop. Mr.Cmar is survived by a son,Paul T.Lape of Charleroi,one brother,Steve Cmar of Fayette City,two granddaughters,Paula E.Douyon of Alaska and Jennifer S.Lape of Charleroi,one great-granddaughter,and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Katherine Lape Cmar on Sept.30,1979,four sisters,Anna Smerick,Helen Pustinger,Marie Garafalo and Elizzabeth Checci,and two brothers,George Cmar and Michael Cmar. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.David Jastrab,pastor of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Monessen Ambulance Service. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
