Edward Andrew Cmar;68;of 213 Rear Crest Ave.;Charleroi died Friday;May 15;1992; at 8:45 a.m. at his home. He was born Jan.28;1924 in Monessen;a son of the late Anthony and Helen Chornak Cmar. Mr.Cmar had resided in Charleroi for the past 35 years. He was a member of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel;Monessen Plant;where he was employed in the Electric Shop. Mr.Cmar is survived by a son;Paul T.Lape of Charleroi;one brother;Steve Cmar of Fayette City;two granddaughters;Paula E.Douyon of Alaska and Jennifer S.Lape of Charleroi;one great-granddaughter;and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Katherine Lape Cmar on Sept.30;1979;four sisters;Anna Smerick;Helen Pustinger;Marie Garafalo and Elizzabeth Checci;and two brothers;George Cmar and Michael Cmar. Friends will be received at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.David Jastrab;pastor of Mother of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Monessen Ambulance Service. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
