Obituary
Mrs. Edna S. Franks,43,wife of Joseph Franks,of 722 Fallowfield avenue,Charleroi,died Friday afternoon ,March 28,1941 at 5:35 o'clock in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. She was aged 43 years. Her husband operated a newsstand for a number of years. Mrs. Franks was born June 10,1898,at Grindstone,a daughter of John and Carrie Harvey Dean,both of Fayette county. She leaves her husband,her mother,two daughters,Mrs. Ray Sutherland at home and Mrs. Francis Swartz of Monessen,two grandchildren and three brothers, Albert Dean of Erie,Walter Dean of Dearborn,Mich.,and George Dean of Rock Island,Ill. Friends will be received at the Lawrence B. Frye Funeral home,321 Washington avenue,Charleroi,where funeral servcices will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. C.G.White,pastor of the United Brethren Church of Monessen,of which the deceased was a member,will officiate. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
