Obituary

Edmund E. Santini Jr., 85, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at 8:45 a.m. in his home. Born March 21, 1926, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Edmund E. Santini Sr. and Beatrice Wilkinson Santini. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 51 years, Mr. Santini was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Newton, and was a retired craneman from Duquesne Slag. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Bertha E. Radek Fisher Santini, to whom he was married seven years, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Edward Biss, of Greensburg, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Edmund Eugene Santini III and wife, Marilyn, of North Carolina, Wayne and Jennifer Santini, of Jeannette, David Santini, of Chicago, seven stepdaughters, Sharon and Robert Valentine, of Washington, Pa., Mary Fisher, of Florida, Lori and Pat Bahl, of Kersey, Pa., Karen and Jeff Becker, of Upper St. Clair, Rhonda Hotzel, of Belle Vernon, Pearl Ross, of Belle Vernon, Brenda and Rick Newman, of Butler, brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Sally Santini, of Charleroi, sister, Viola Elton, of Iowa, two granddaughters, Shane and Kelly Santini, many stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rosalie Jane Labrasca Santini, who passed on May 19, 2001, and a brother, Francis Santini. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 17, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (724) 929-6183. Relatives and friends will gather Monday, April 18, for funeral services at 1 p.m. in the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Newton. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Edmund E. Santini to the Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Newton.
