Edith Spadafore Venneri,81,of 612 Speer St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,May 17,1993,at 11:12 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Mrs. Venneri was born Feb. 9,1912,in Roliano, Italy,a daughter of the late Achellias and Jenny Panza Spadafore. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon community. Mrs. Venneri was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Her husband, James Venneri,died Dec. 2,1981. A brother, Joseph Spadafore is also deceased. Surviving are a son, Lewis A. Venneri of Belle Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Pauline) Bashada of Belle Vernon and Lorraine Venneri Harper at home; two brothers, Patsy Spadafore of Monessen and William Spadafore of Belle Vernon;two sisters, Adeline Amedeo of Clairton and Sylvia Barcelona of Donora;eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Prayer Service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home,followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
