Edith Singley Szerszen;55;of 952 Leeds Ave.;Monessen;died suddenly of a heart attack on Sunday;June 22;1975;at 9 p.m.in her home. She was born in Monessen on March 17;1920;a daughter of the late William Harry and Nellie Hoyes Singley. Mrs.Szerszen was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Monessen. She was preceded in death by a sister;Maude Singley Szerszen in June of 1960. Surviving are her husband;Theodore J.Szerszen;and two sons;Willian HHrrison Singley of State College and Robert T.Szerszen;at home. Friends will be received at the Ed Melenyzer Funeral Home;Monessen;from 7 to 9 p.m.Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday. Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.at the funeral home with the Rev.Howard E.Kennedy;pastor of First United Methodist Church of Monessen;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Ed Melenyzer is funeral director in charge.
