Edith M. DeStefano; formerly of the Belle Vernon Apartments and Victoria House in Monessen; passed away Wednesday; Feb. 22; 2006 in the Washington County Health Center. A daughter of the late Pasquali and Eufemia Devedo Minardi; she was born in Monessen. She was a former hairdresser in Monessen for many years and was Catholic by faith. Edith was preceded in death by her husband; Albert L. DeStefano; in 1963; two brothers; Amerigo Minardi and Albert Boots Minardi; and two sisters; Florence Von-Berg and Esther Arnoldi. Albert DeStefano was a well known Monessen photographer specializing in graduation and wedding photos. He had owned and operated the former Abie’s Studio in Monessen. Private funeral services were held Thursday; Feb. 23 in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; a Golden Rule Member Firm; www.fergusonfuneralhome.net; 724-929-5300; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
