Edith L. Forsythe, 94, died Saturday, September 24, 2016 in the Washington County Health Center. A daughter of the late Richard Henry Webb and Bertha Hazelbaker Webb, she was born in Roscoe on September 1, 1922. Edith was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and several senior citizens organizations. She enjoyed casino trips, garage sales and lunches with her friends, but most of all, she loved family vacations at Presque Isle on lake Erie. Formerly of Belle Vernon, she had most recently resided in Monessen for the past 20 years. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Carole F. and John Borda of Houston, PA, one sister, Donna Mae Federer of Sutersville, two grandchildren, John Forsythe Borda and his wife Karen, of Canonsburg and Carrie Martik and her husband Doug, of Venetia and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Martik, Matthew Martik, John Daniel Borda and Aidan Martik. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Forsythe on December 21, 1977, a sister, Betty Kusman and two brothers, Jimmie Webb in 1953 and Jack Webb, in childhood. Friends will be received from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M.
