Edith Salvino Beneccio of Monessen died Monday,Jan. 24,1994, following a lengthy illness. She was born in Monessen, a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Maria Spadafore Salvino. Mrs. Beneccio had been a lifelong resident of Monessen. She was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church of Monessen. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law,Carmen A. and Shirley M. Beneccio of Monessen; three grandsons,Vito, Marcello and Sereno Beneccio; two sisters,Mrs. Carrie Palm of Monessen and Mrs. Irene Baron of Belle Vernon;and one brother, James Salvino of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold (Diz) Beneccio in 1983;three sisters, Alice Frankie, Emma Zimmaro and Theresa Scurci and one brother, Jano Salvino. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday,with Prayers in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church,Monessen. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
