Edith I. Luce; 88; of Monessen; died Thursday; May 14; 2009; in Thorpe’s Personal Care Home; Charleroi. Born in Monessen on Oct. 10; 1920; she was the daughter of the late Norman and Manilla (Hall) Luce. Edith was Methodist by faith. Besides her parents; she was preceded in death by three brothers; Vernon; Milton ‘Mickey’ and Norman Luce Jr.; and one sister; Clair Luce. She is survived by two nephews; Norman Luce and wife Sara; of Cincinnati; Ohio; and Barry Luce; of Lake Mills; Wis.; one niece; Bonnie Hegedus and husband Louis; of Chambersburg; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC.; Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue; Monessen (724-684-3700). Funeral services will be held Saturday; May 16; at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. David Zona officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
