Edgar J. (Shorty) Burry;64;of 112 Second St.;Allenport;died Sunday;June 27;1976;at 5:45 p.m. in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was born in Louisville;Ky.;on Oct.31;1911;son of the late Julius and Bertha Geiser Burry;and had lived most of his life in Allenport. Mr.Burry was a member of St.Jerome Catholic Church;Charleroi. He retired from H & R Chevrolet and Cadillac;Charleroi;where he had worked as a salesman;in 1973 after 42 years of service. Surviving are his widow;Virginia Baird Burry;one son;David E.Burry of Monroeville;one daughter;Mrs.Leo (Marie L.) Qualiotto of Wilkinsburg;four sisters;Mrs.Averill (Minetta) Farquhar of Allenport;Mrs.Charles (Marie) Regula of Charleroi;Mrs.Gibson (Ruth) Chester of Roscoe and Mrs. John (LaVerne) McCrory of Allenport;and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St.Jerome Catholic Church;Charleroi;with Msgr.William J.Maher officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
