Obituary

Ernest M.Bauer,Perryopolis R.D.1,died Sunday,June 28,1987,at 1:40 a.m. in his home. He was 75. Mr.Bauer was born on Sept.3,1911,a son of the late Robert and Margaret Morgan Bauer. He was a member of F&AM Lodge 643 of Belle Vernon,McKean Commandry of Monongahela,Uniontown Lodge of Perfection,Monessen Royal Arch Chapter No.29 and the Syria Temple of Pittsburgh. A resident of Franklin Twp. (Spillway Lake) since 1980,he had retired in 1973 from the Monessen Southwestern Railroad of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,where he worked as train master. In addition to his parents,Mr.Bauer was preceded in death by a daughter,Grace,a brother,William,and a grandson,Roderick Holiday,1986. Mr.Bauer is survived by his wife,Evelyn Biagini Bauer,a a son,Thomas A.Bauer of Lorain,Ohio,a daughter,Mrs.James (Janice) Holiday of Monessen,a brother,Robert Bauer of Dawson,three sisters,Doris Frost of Belle Vernon,Margaret McCoy of Louisville,Ky.,and Betty Husband of Dawson,three grandchildren,Suzette Sanchez of Lawton,Okla.,Ensign Erin Holiday of U.S.Navy,Guam, and Kelly Bauer of Lorain,Ohio,and one great-grandson,Farrell Holiday DiBart. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.J.Howard Smith,pastor of Cochran Memorial Methodist Church,Dawson,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers,the family requests donations be made to the Roderick Holiday Memorial Scholarship Fund through the funeral home. Masonic services for Belle Vernon Lodge 643 will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Shelby D.Ferguson is the funeral director in charge of the arrangements.
