Youngstown; Pa.
He was born on Oct. 22;1915; in
Uniontown; a son of the late
John D.and Emma
Frankhouser Cook.
Mr. Cook was also preceded in
death by two brothers; Wilbur
and Joseph Cook; and one sister;
Catherine Barber.
He was Protestant by faith
and a Belle Vernon resident for
51 years.
Mr. Cook was a veteran of
World War II and served in the
United States Navy. He was also
a member of Belle Vernon
American Legion Post 659.
He was retired from National
Tube Works in McKeesport;
where he was employed as a
chipper and grinder.
Mr. Cook is survived by a
wife; Edith Amalong Cook; four
sons; Earle Y. Cook Jr.; of
Macedonia; Ohio; Ronald W.
Cook of Belle Vernon; Rev.
David L. Cook of Belle Vernon
and Sgt. Gary M. Cook of Uniontown;
two sisters; Mrs.
Margaret Holland of Zelienople
and Mrs. Helen Langley of
Uniontown; five grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren
Friends will be received Wednesdayfrom 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m at the
Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral
Home; 626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services will be held on Friday morning at 11 a.m.in the funeral home with Rev.Charles LaPlaca;pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating.; Interment will be at Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will hold services on Thursday evening at 7 p.m.in the funeral home. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
