Earl M.Shrader of Perryopolois R.D.2 died Thursday Jan.27;1983;at 11:13 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp.;following a lengthy illness. He was 75. Mr.Shrader was born Aug.19;1907;in Eldersville;Pa.;a son of the late Robert W.and Maude McCleary Shrader. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Monessen Plant. A Protestant by faith;Mr.Shrader was a World War II veteran of the U.S.Army. He was preceded in death by a son;Andrew Shrader;in August of 1966 and by a brother;James Shrader. Surviving are his wife;Bessie Kelly Shrader;at home;one son;Robert Shrader Downard of Sendon;Long Island;N.Y.;three daughters;Mrs.Frank (Norma) Taravella;of Belle Vernon;Mrs.John (Earleen) Shabhutl of Glen Head;Long Island;N.Y.;and Mrs.Ruth Ann Dia of Gainesville;Fla.;one step-daughter;Mrs.Larry (Loretta) Schoch;of Ft.Lauderdale;Fla.;13 grandchildren;five great-grandchildren;one brother;Francis Shrader of San Bernardino;Calif.;and one sister;Elizabeth Ambrose;of San Bernardino;Calif. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.;all day Sunday;and until 11 a.m.Monday when services will be held in the funeral home;with Pastor James Gardner of the People’s Bible Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
