Earl G. Dunkerly, 78, of Bristol, Tennessee, formerly of Jacob's Creek, PA, passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2024. The son of the late Ethel and Earl C. Dunkerly, he was born in Charleroi, Pennsylvania on April 15th, 1946. Formerly of Belle Vernon, Earl was a resident of Bristol, TN for last twelve years to be closer to his two grandchildren. He graduated in 1964 from Bellmar High School and was a walk-on at Marshall University’s (WV) football team. After two years of college, Earl entered the Army, where he proudly served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1969.
Whether you knew Earl by “Butch”, “Dunk”, “Sargent”, "Dad” and his favorite, “Pap” he would always treat you like family. He is survived by his two sons Earl (Regan), and Eric (Jenna) and two grandchildren, Ethan and Eliana, whom he devoted his last decade to be with them. He is also survived by his sister, Deborah (Leonard) and her son Andrew Earl (Barbara).
Friends will be received on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 6 to 8 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10 A.M in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the grave. There will be a celebration of life following the graveside service. Location will be announced later.
