Obituary

Earl Byers,51,died suddenly at his home in Belle Vernon on Wednesday,Jan.8,1964. Mr.Byers was a veteran of World War II,serving in the Pacific area of occupation. Surviving are his widow,Virginia,a daughter,Barbara Lee Byers of Long Island,N.Y.,a son,EM-3 Charles Ewing Byers,Great Lakes Naval Training Station,Illinois,three sisters,Mrs.Thomas (Iva) Parton and Mrs.John (Ruth) Haury,both of Belle Vernon R.D.1 and Mrs.Lila Sneed,Bethesda,Md.,four brothers,Thomas of Scottdale,Albert and Clifford of Belle Vernon R.D.1 and Foster of Detroit,Mich. Friends are being received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home in Belle Vernon during hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Service there Saturday,Jan.11,at 2 p.m.in charge of the Rev.Jackson A.Gabany,pastor of the First Methodist Church of Monessen. Interment in the Soldiers Memorial Plot of Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,funeral director.
