DeVota E. Pierotti; 94; of Elizabethtown; Pa.; formerly of Monessen; passed away Sunday; Dec. 7; 2008. She was born Aug. 9; 1914; in Forward Township; a daughter of the late James R. and Margaret (McClintock) Sadler. She worked as a secretary for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel for 34 years and also operated a farm in Forward Township for many years. Mrs. Pierotti was a graduate of Monongahela High School. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Monessen; Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 205 of Monessen and the Friends of the Monessen Library. Surviving is one son; Jay R. Pierotti; of Huntington; Pa.; one daughter and son-in-law; Peggy and Barry Siple; of Delaware; grandchildren; Mark Siple and wife Susie; Scott Siple and wife Kim; and Sara; Matthew and Jason Pierotti; several great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law; Ernest and Kathleen Sadler; of Monongahela; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Raymond F. Pierotti; and four brothers and two sisters. Friends will be received Wednesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m.; the time of service at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC.; family owned and operated as a member of the Golden Rule; 1209 Grand Blvd.; Monessen. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Pierotti’s name may be made to the United Methodist Church of Monessen.
