Duane David Thomas,35,of Fayette City R.D.1,died Monday,March 28,1994,in the emergency room of Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. He was born Dec. 31,1958,in North Charleroi,a son of Leroy L. and Iris K. Coates Thomas. Mr. Thomas was a member of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church,Rostraver Township Lions Club and the pick-up ice hockey organization at Rostraver Gardens. In addition to his parents,survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Liz) Rubosky Thomas; two daughters,Lindsay Katherine Thomas and Erin Kathleen Thomas at home;one brother and sister-in-law,Frank and Pam Thomas of Fayette City;and his paternal grandparents, Reno and Edith Borghes of San Diego,Calif. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents,Frank Coates in June 1986 and Anna Mae Davis Coates in November 1993. Friends will be received Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,334 Main St.,Fayette City, and until 1:30 p.m. Thursday,when services will be held in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael Shepard of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes foundation. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
