Dr.Francis C.Duvall;M.D.;aged 80 years;of 692 McKee Way;Monessen;died Monday;October 5;1953;at 5 a.m.;after a brief illness. He was born in Centerville;Pa.on May 5;1873 a son of the late John and Elizabeth Lash Duvall. Dr.Duvall graduated from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia in 1909;and after his internship at West Penn Hospital;began his practice in Charleroi. In 1911;he moved his practice to Monessen;and five years ago;went into semi-retirement. He was a member of the Monessen School Board for eighteen years;and worked for the state Board of Health. He was also City Health officer in Monessen;and was a member of the First Methodist Church of that place. He was a life member of the Charleroi F.and A.M.;and belonged to the McKean Commandery;Knights Templar. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Lorena Duvall;two sons;George of Elizabeth;New Jersey;and Ensign Francis C.Duvall;stationed abroad Coast Guard Cutter Chincoteague;which is now at sea. The family will receive friends at the Rhome Funeral Home;Mckee avenue;from 1 to 5 and from 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home on Thursday;Oct.8;at 2 p.m.;with Rev.Allan J.Howes;of the First Methodist Church officiating.
