Obituary
Reed Hays of the Charleroi Hotel,died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,Thursday,May 23,1958,at 4 a.m. He was born in Ivinia,Greene County,August 17,1887,the son of D.W. and Martha Hays. He came to Charleroi fifty-one years ago from Waynesburg,and was a retired plasterer. He is survived by one son,Russell Hays of North Carolina;two brothers,John H.Hays of Pittsburgh,and Ellis Hays of Tampa,Florida;and two sisters,Mrs.Mary Ann Simpson,of Charleroi and Mrs.Lillian Fox of Speers and three grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home. Services will be held there May 24,1958,at 10 a.m.,in charge of Rev.Frederick Burchell and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Francis C.Slezak is the funeral director.
