Douglas L.Lemon;84;927 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Feb.13;1973;at 10:15 p.m.in the Golden Age Convalescent Home;Brownsville;after a brief illness. His son;Matthew Lemon of Pricedale;died Feb.10;and was buried yesterday;Tuesday;Feb.14;1973. Mr.Lemon was born in Sumpter;S.C.;May 10;1888;and lived in Belle Vernon 45 years. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;and was chairman of the Desacon Board. He was also a member of the Trustee Board and had served 20 years as Sunday School superintendent. He was past master of Twin Lodge No.67;F&AM;Pricedale. Surviving are two sons;George and Jerome Lemon;both at home;one daughter;Mrs.Lena Payne;Pittsburgh;10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;Monessen;from 7 to 9 p.m.Thursday. The body will be taken to Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;at 2 p.m.Friday and a Masonic service will be held there at 8:30 p.m.Friday. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m.Saturday at the church with the Rev.A.C.Morris;pastor;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
